Pritchard & Moore
Cancer Research Wales approached us with an idea; a standalone bridal boutique with a difference.
Pritchard and Moore was to be a bridal boutique that offered an indulgent atmosphere, high quality dressing rooms and a specialist service. However there was a twist! Many of the dresses had been donated directly by designers, former brides or were ex-season stock given from other bridal boutiques. This meant that brides to be could walk away with their dream dress for a small portion of the price with all the proceeds going straight to Cancer Research Wales.
The Pritchard & Moore brand takes its name from two longstanding Cancer Research Wales trustees and eminent research scientists, John Pritchard and John Moore, who both contributed enormously to the landscape of cancer research in Wales.
So with the Pritchard & Moore brand already in place we were asked to take charge of not only the design and build of a brand spanking new website but a stunning bridal photo-shoot to populate it with.
The client had specified for both the site and photo-shoot to reflect the brand personality of classic, stylish, welcoming and most importantly special. Cancer Research Wales wanted their ethos; that each client is different but all are serviced to the same high standards, to be reflected in the visuals. We aimed to reflect this in both the photography of the store itself and in our wonderful outdoor location for the shoot.
Our team worked together to form a strong creative direction. Research into competitor bridal boutiques and wedding & design trends helped us to form a clear aesthetic for the shoot. We set our hearts on a natural and fairly rustic look with a palette of olive green, champagne and hints of rose gold.
We worked tirelessly to ensure both the creative and the logistics of the shoot were just right- and not to mention on budget so Cancer Research Wales could reach their vital fundraising goals.
The photo-shoot images went on to form lust worthy content for the Pritchard & Moore site and social media to entice those all-important brides to be. The photo-shoot and website together made for a super stylish and tasteful online image that breaks the taboo of ‘charity shop bridal wear’.
