Multilingual

We have been making bilingual website for over 10 years. Working in the capital of Wales we are used to designing and building websites that cater for the English and Welsh speaking community. Our Content Management system has been specifically created to cater for multilingual websites.
There are a number of issues to think about when working on a multilingual website:

Linking multilingual content

You CMS has been designed to cope with linking multilingual content. For example if you are on the about us page of a website and you wish to change language – you should stay on the about us page and just the text changes language.

You need to be able to display non latin character sets

When we are talking multilingual websites we do not just mean English, Welsh and French we also mean non latin character sets such as Arabic and Chinese. In short your CMS needs to be able to manage Unicode characters and character sets that operate right to left (RTL).

Translation and content entry

Obviously your content needs to be translated and entered into the CMS. We can offer this service or train your translator to use the CMS.

Domain name

Our CMS can switch domains when switching languages. So if you have a bilingual website you can advertise 2 different domain names. Depending on the domain name you enter you will go to the website in that language. For instance Literature Wales has 2 domain names: http://www.llenyddiaethcymru.org/ and http://www.literaturewales.org
